THE HUMIDITY OF MY MARIJUANA CULTIVATION

The humidity parameter is very important in indoor cannabis crops, since the correct development and transpiration of our marijuana plants will depend on it. You have to keep in mind that air has a greater capacity to retain moisture at higher temperatures.

• Germination and rooting - 90-95% the first days. The following days we can drop to 80-90% humidity
• Vegetative or growth phase - 60-70% humidity
• Flowering phase - 40-60% humidity
• Drying phase - 45-55% humidity

Like temperature, a humidity parameter that varies little will help the stable and homogeneous growth of your marijuana crop.

LOWERING THE HUMIDITY OF MY CROPS

To reduce the humidity of a crop we can use the air extraction system. Normally the air in the crop is more humid than the air we bring in from the outside. If we increase the extraction flow we will renew this air faster with the air from the outside, more dry.

But... What happens if the air outside is also humid ?

In this case we will have to use a dehumidifying device , you have them in different tank sizes and powers.

The water collected from dehumidifiers has a very low electroconductivity (EC), perfect as base water to mix with fertilizer in your irrigation.

INCREASING THE HUMIDITY OF MY CROPS

For vegetative phases we are interested in high relative air humidity . To raise it we can use humidifying devices , also in different sizes, you have them with a built-in tank and those with a float type, where you choose the tank in which it will float. These devices generate cold steam, so you don't have to worry about the temperature rising excessively when using it.
