WHAT IS CO2 AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

Co2 is one of the necessary elements that your marijuana plants need to carry out photosynthesis. Together with water and light energy , this process is capable of converting it into carbohydrates and oxygen . An adequate level of Co2 in our crop will allow our plants to obtain maximum efficiency in terms of light absorption, which translates into more abundant and heavier harvests.

WHAT IS THE OPTIMUM AMOUNT OF CO2 FOR MY CULTIVATION?

Cannabis can use more carbon dioxide in its growth than is available in the air (300-400 ppm ). That is why many growers use dioxide generators to increase this parameter and thus ensure that the plants develop up to 30% faster, as long as the crop does not have other limitations.

THE OPTIMAL AMOUNT OF CO2 IN A CROP IS BETWEEN 1200 - 1500 PPM

Beware, levels above 5,000 ppm can cause dizziness and even be dangerously poisonous. We insist on optimizing the crop in terms of temperature and humidity factors, or the entire dioxide generation system loses effectiveness.

HOW DO I GENERATE CO2 IN MY CULTIVATION ROOM?

There are different options for purchasing Co2 generators , some more expensive and precise than others, but all with good results if used correctly;

• Co2 tablets for irrigation - They are used dissolved in irrigation water, it is the most economical way to apply Co2 to the crop.
• Cubes with dispenser - Cubes filled with organic material that produces Co2, without odors, without dangers
• Cylinders with dispenser - Cylinders filled with Co2. It does not produce heat, toxic gases or water. You need a regulator, flow meter and valve. It is recommended to use ppm meters in the culture and a system that automates the process, such as an ICU.
• Gas burners - You can burn various types of gas to generate dioxide, they have a flame that heats the air and the Co2 that it expels, you need good air circulation to distribute it well. It is recommended not to use low quality kerosene as it can contaminate the crop with sulfur dioxide.
